Triennale

Triennale inspires with its modern look

Yrjö Kukkapuro designed Triennale chair for The Milan Triennial of 1960. The chair was named after the international event where it was also awarded. The basic elements of Yrjö Kukkapuro’s design can be seen in the chair: light and minimalistic metal frame, wooden seat components and loose seat cushions.

After 62 years, the chair is being manufactured again. Triennale is a pearl that was left out of the early production of Yrjö Kukkapuro, but now inspires with its modern look. These chairs bring personality and understated luxury to any space.

Due to the increase of the average height of people during the past decades the backrest of the chair has been heightened a bit. The wide wooden armrests are practical and give the chair a showy look. The Triennale chair has been awarded the Finnish Key Flag certificate. Despite its lightness, the Triennale feels like an armchair thanks to its wide armrests and seat angle, making it comfortable to sit in for longer periods.
