Finnish designer Yrjö Kukkapuro and artist and author Tove Jansson come together in the new Moomin Furniture line. Moomin characters celebrate their 75th anniversary this year and the product line is part of the celebration.

The product line consists of four different products Moomin Chair Large, Moomin Chair Medium, Moomin Chair Small and Moomin Table. The furniture combines timeless and ergonomic design of Yrjö Kukkapuro and joyful and inspiring Moomin illustrations of Tove Jansson.
The chair are suitable for everyone and includes three different chairs and a table. Small chair is suitable for children over two years, medium chair for school aged kids, and large for adults and teenagers. The Tove Jansson’s classic illustrations are printed in the furniture. The illustration in small chair is from “The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My”. In medium chair from the comic book ”Snorkmaiden Goes Rococo”. In large chair from the book “The Exploits of Moominpappa”. And in the table from the comic book ”Moomin and the Golden Tail”.
Finnish design made in Finland
Moomin Furniture line is designed in cooperation with Studio Kukkapuro and Finnish furniture company Modeo. Moomin Furniture products are fully made in Finland. The material is certified birch plywood which according to Yrjö Kukkapuro is “the most lovable material in the world”. Products’ plywood parts are produced by Suomen Viilupuu Inc, metal parts are made by Mittametalli Inc and package by ER-Pahvityö Inc. Moomin Furniture products have been awarded with the Key Flag certificate and Design from Finland mark.
